We all dream of a greener city, full of plants and parks and lovely places to eat picnics.  It starts with green thumbs: citizens who care enough to cultivate seeds & life, water them and allow for sunshine, and then call up their local political office and get stuff done.  At this year’s Festival of Ideas for a New City hosted by the New Museum, we made the map of that future with folks we met visiting the street fair.  How inspiring is it to spend all day dreaming with fellow visionaires and ecological citizens about a better, brighter, greener, happier, bird-song and springtime-rich New York City.

Local artist and Eagle Street Rooftop Farm neighbor Emily Noelle Lambert conceptualized and illustrated our map; your hands and hearts filled it.
